Dr. Richard Epstein

Chief Executive Officer

 

Dr. Epstein received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University and worked at the University of Texas at Austin, Harvard University and Nordita in Copenhagen, before joining Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) where he was a Laboratory Fellow.  At LANL he led the team that invented and developed the optical-refrigeration technology that is the basis for CryoRayTM coolers.  In 2009, Dr. Epstein cofounded ThermoDynamic Films, LLC to commercialize CryoRay coolers and other energy technologies.  Dr. Epstein is Fellow of the Optical Society of America and  has published over 170 papers in applied physics and astrophysics.

Guy Symonds

R&D Engineer

 

Mr. Symonds received his B.S.M.E at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in 2013 in Mechanical Engineer. His experience includes prototype design, fabrication, and assembly for manufacturing. His interests include solid-state laser cooling, material optimization for cryogenic applications, and selectively absorptive properties of thin films. Mr. Symonds joined CryoRayTM Coolers in summer 2014.

Bernardo Farfan

R&D Engineer

 

Mr. Farfan earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Military Engineering School in Bolivia and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico.  He has participated in various research and development work with his experience in electronic systems, data acquisition, prototyping, programming and application of engineering principles.  His experience includes control systems, photonic crystals, and optical gas sensors technology development.  Mr. Farfan joined CryoRayTM Coolers  in summer 2014
